As a Collection Specialist, your main responsibility will be to contact clients and collect missed and outstanding payments.
The successful candidate must have a strong client service mentality and the ability to apply collaborative and non-adversarial approaches in achieving diverse goals.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Identify outstanding account receivables Investigate historical data for debts and bills Take actions in order to encourage timely payments Process payments and refunds Resolve billing issues Update account status records Excellent knowledge of billing procedures Knowledge of various collection techniques Contact clients and discuss their overdue payments Working knowledge of MS Office and databases Comfortable working with targets Deadline and detail-oriented Knowledge of collection laws and regulations Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent 3 to 5 yrs proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role Exemplary work ethic and decision-making ability.
Strong attention to organization, detail and accuracy.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the capability to analyze, prioritize, & multi-task Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Strong customer service skills in dealing with vendors and customers.
Ability to learn various software packages and process workflows.
