Cash Application Representative

com is seeking to hire a Cash Application Representative for our client in Lincoln, RI!Benefits Available!Weekly Pay!Pay Rate - $17/hrJob DescriptionReview and process daily payments received via lockbox (checks) and bank deposits (ACH/Wires).
Research and resolve cash application issues for payments received.
Conduct regular reviews of bank receipts against applied cash to ensure proper records passed to the general ledger system.
JOB
Responsibilities:
o Reviews and processes payments received against outstanding balances for customer accounts based on remittance information from customer.
o Works with Accounts Receivable to reconcile customer's account with open items and credits.
o Works with collections team to address credits on account either through refund, application or escheatment.
o Prepares requisitions for office, computer, and routine supply purchases.
o Support month-end close responsibilities and deadlines as needed.
o Performs other job duties as required.
Qualifications:
o One year of experience in accounts receivable or billing preferred o Basic understanding of accounting, reconciliations, and accounts receivable functions.
Additional training in bookkeeping concepts and procedures preferred.
o Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel intermediate skills preferred) o Strong administrative skills including attention to detail, organization in a fast-paced corporate environment o Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with internal departments, vendors, and customers o Ability to work well in a team environment and develop relationships with internal departments to resolve disputes and outstanding issues quickly o Self-starter who takes initiative o Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality Recommended Skills Accounting Accounts Receivable Administration Attention To Detail Balance Sheet Billing Apply to this job.
